All items on this page are composed of sterling silver,some containing gold filled accents. The black, or antiqued, items are sterling silver which has been oxidized. I finish all oxidized items with a sealing wax (don't worry-it's not sticky!)to help maintain a rich black color. Please note, however, that any item which is continuously handled over a long time can have the oxidation rub off. It will never go back to a bright white sterling this way, but the silver color will come through.
